Aune, 22, was drafted by the San Jose Earthquakes in the second round of the 2019 MLS SuperDraft. The defender was a four-year starter at Seattle University where he scored six goals and had one assist in his 80 appearances. His senior year he was named to theAll-Western Athletic Conference First Team as well as the United Soccer Coaches All-West Region Second Team.

Growing up, Aune played for Snohomish United and also spent time with Crossfire and Sounders U23 of the USL League Two Division.

In his free time, Nathan likes being in the mountains, listening to music, making music, and finding the perfect cup of joe. His number one travel destination is Barcelona and he says if he wasn't playing soccer he would be in marketing.
