The lefty’s right-footed goal sealed the deal for Reno

RENO, Nev. – Reno 1868 FC defender Duke Lacroix has been named to the USL Championship Team of the Week for week seven.

On Saturday, the defender scored the game winning goal in the 89th minute to end New Mexico United’s seven-game undefeated streak. Assisted by Brian Brown, Lacroix dribbled parallel to the 18 for a few strides before his powerful strike rocketed into the side netting.

“It feels good getting Team of the Week, but more importantly it was good to get three points and the win,” Lacroix said Tuesday. “The team is on a good streak, we’re playing really well and I’m playing well personally. We’re just looking to get results.”

Lacroix and the rest of the squad will travel to El Paso this weekend to take on El Paso Locomotive.
