RENO 1868 FC TO TAKE ON TACOMA IN TUESDAY ACTION

BOYS IN BLUE LOOK TO BOUNCE BACK AFTER LOSS TO FRESNO

RENO, Nev.– Just days after a final-seconds loss to Fresno FC, Reno 2868 FC is back in action tomorrow taking on Tacoma Defiance at Greater Nevada Field. Reno still holds onto the third spot in the USL’s Western Conference standings with 44 points.

“It’s good to have a quick turnaround,” said head coach Ian Russell. “The guys are eager to play again.”

On Saturday, Reno fell 3-2 to Fresno after two goals by Danny Musovski in the final minutes to tie it. The pair of goals marked the 23-year-old forward’s first two-goal performance of his young career.

Tacoma is coming off of a loss on Saturday as well, falling 3-0 on the road at Sacramento Republic FC. Tacoma enters the match 0-9-3 on the road this season, and 0-2-3 all time against the boys in the blue.

Reno is averaging 2.08 goals a game, while Tacoma enters averaging 1.04. Tacoma’s 27 total goals this season is the second-worst mark in the league. Reno’s 56 are the third most. The boys in blue average five more shots per match than Tacoma as well, 12.8 to 7.6.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. PT, with tickets available at Reno1868fc.com or the Greater Nevada Field ticket office. The match will be streamed on ESPN+ and will be available locally on Nevada Sports Net.
