This week, Reno1868FC.com looking back at some of the top individual performances during the 2019 season. In today's spotlight, we take a look at the defenders.
Janjigian scored a 9th minute goal in 1868 FC's 2-1 victory at Rio Grande Valley FC. In addition to his offensive production, the central defender added seven clearances and three interceptions. He finished the match with a solid 83.1 passing accuracy (65 attempted passses), and winning four of five aerial duels.
With the match tied at 1-1 late in the second half, it was an 89th minute goal from Lacroix that led 1868 FC to secure three points. It was an impressive left-footed strike from the defender who finished the match with an 81.5% passing accuracy and six duels won.
Arguably the top performance from any defender in 2019 was Brent Richards three assists against Tacoma in mid-September. Richards provided consistent service from the right wing to assist on three of Danny Musovski's four goals. Overall, Richards had a 74 percent passing accuracy, four chances created, and three interceptions.
