RENO, Nev. – Reno 1868 FC has signed two more players ahead of the 2020 regular season opener on Friday at Tacoma Defiance. Aleks Berkolds and Jared Timmer will be eligible for selection in Friday’s season opener against Tacoma.
Berkolds, a 23-year-old defender spent the 2019 season with Tacoma Defiance. The SDSU product appeared in 23 games, starting 22 and tallying almost 2,000 minutes for the Defiance. Berkolds led the club in blocks (23) and clearances (127), and his 26 interceptions were third.
Timmer comes to Reno after a standout career with Butler. In his collegiate career, the midfielder started 66 games, earning six goals and 13 assists in almost 6,000 minutes.
The duo brings the club’s 2020 roster to 19 players, and stands as follows:
