RENO, Nev. — Reno 1868 FC hits the road for its first of two road games and looks to extend its win-streak.

Reno 1868 FC takes on Real Monarchs SLC on Monday at 6 p.m. in a huge Western Conference showdown.

Here is a hat-trick (three things) to watch: on Monday:

Kelly vs. Hoffman

Two of the league's top scorers go head-to-head on Monday.  Reno's Dane Kelly leads the USL with 12 goals scored while Hoffman ranks third in the USL with eight goals scored in his first season.  The first match featured a 5-3 scoreline and this rematch could feature just as many goals.  Kelly, the reigning player of the month, is looking to add a goal in his sixth-straight USL match.

Reno's Improved Defense

Reno 1868 FC has been defensively sound during its seven-game unbeaten streak. The team has posted four clean sheets in the past six USL matches and has even seen defenders become integral parts of the offensive attack. Both of those factors combined with the fact that Reno is nearly back to full health should help 1868 FC out against one of the top attacks in the USL.

Midfield Play

Reno 1868's midfield play has the ability to both score goals and turn into a defensive wall. That's part of the reason the team continues to find a rhythm. This mix will be vital in preventing chances on its end of the pitch and creating chances for Kelly, Antoine Hoppenot and others involved in the Reno attack.  Rookie Chris Wehan has been one of the top chance creators in the entire USL. Matt LaGrassa's defense has helped as well. Reno will need both of them on Monday.
