RENO, Nev. – Reno 1868 FC aims to extend its unbeaten streak to five as one of the hottest teams in the United States hosts Portland Timbers 2.

Reno welcomes Portland to Greater Nevada Field for the first time Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

The last time these two met, Reno cruised to a 2-0 win in Portland thanks to goals from Seth Casiple and Luis Felipe.

Since that win, Reno has posted a 10-1 goals scored to goals allowed ratio and has remained in fourth place in the USL’s Western Conference standings.

The Reno attack has notched 41 goals this season, the most out of any professional soccer team in the United States.

Reno is led by Dane Kelly, who has scored 13 goals this year.

Portland finds itself in last place in the West and has lost four out of its last five matches.

The team’s offense has struggled and has the second-fewest goals in the USL (14).

Villyan Bijev leads Portland with six goals in 18 appearances this year.

Saturday is “Poster Day” at Greater Nevada Field. The first 1,868 fans through the rotunda entrance will receive a Reno 1868 FC poster.
