Reno 1868 FC to Make Its Debut on ESPN3 Against OKC Energy FC

RENO, Nev. – Reno 1868 FC aims to secure another three points in the Midwest on Wednesday as the team takes on OKC Energy FC (5:30 p.m. on ESPN3).

Reno is coming off a huge 4-1 win over Swope Park Rangers, a team widely considered the second-best team in the USL.  The win snapped Swope Park’s 7-match win streak and extended Reno’s unbeaten streak to six.

Dane Kelly notched his 14th goal of the season which put him in a tie for first place with fellow Jamaican striker Romario Williams of the Charleston Battery.

Reno’s four goals also catapulted the team to the top of USL for most goals scored (46). Reno also has the most goals in U.S. pro soccer (MLS, USL and NASL).  

The match on Wednesday will be the second of three-straight road matches for Reno 1868 FC.

It will also be the first of two televised matches on ESPN3. OKC Energy FC is coming off a 1-1 draw against LA Galaxy II on Sunday.

OKC Energy FC is unbeaten in its past three matches and aims to climb into a playoff spot in the Western Conference.

OKC Energy FC sits in 10th place, a spot behind Seattle Sounders 2 and José Angulo leads the team with six goals this season.

Reno 1868 FC will hold a watch party at Mellow Fellow (across from Greater Nevada Field) beginning at 5:30 p.m.
