RENO, Nev. — For the third time this season, Reno 1868 FC midfielder Junior Burgos has been called up to the El Salvador national team.
Burgos will represent El Salvador in the team’s match against Canada in Houston on Sunday, Oct. 8.
“Junior has been busy this season playing both for us and internationally for El Salvador,” Reno 1868 FC head coach Ian Russell said. “We’re happy he has the opportunity to showcase his talents with his national squad once again.”
This is not the first time Burgos has been selected to represent El Salvador while as a member of Reno 1868 FC. Burgos recently represented El Salvador during the 2017 Gold Cup. He was also called up on March 20 and spit time between the national team and Reno 1868 FC.
Reno 1868 FC will hit the road for the final time this season when the club takes on Orange County SC this Saturday.
