RENO, Nev. – Reno 1868 FC will hold open tryouts in the Reno-Sparks metro area beginning this December.
The club will hold a tryout on Dec. 2 and Dec. 16 at Golden Eagle Sports Complex in Sparks from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Athletes from Northern Nevada, across the United States and from around the world be able to showcase their abilities in front of Reno’s coaching and front office staff.
“We are looking forward to providing this opportunity to some of the top, undiscovered soccer players out there,” Reno GM Andy Smith said. “There is always that chance a future player could be in attendance at an open tryout.
“So, we are excited to provide this opportunity to the public again.”

Reno 1868 FC finished the 2017 season as the top scorers in USL history with 75 goals. The squad featured Golden Boot winner Dane Kelly and Assist Champion Chris Wehan. Head coach Ian Russell won more than 50 percent of his matches as a first-year head coach and guided Reno into the USL Playoffs.
