RENO, Nev. — Reno 1868 FC will take on Switchbacks FC in a preseason friendly on March 3 at Greater Nevada Field, the club announced Monday. 

Both squads will be looking for their first win in the all-time series after tying in both meetings last season. 

 "We're happy to bring in one of the talented Western Conference clubs into our stadium to kick off soccer season in Reno," Reno GM Andy Smith said. 

The Switchbacks FC match is just one of several preseason contests witch feature opponents such as the San Jose Earthquakes (at San Jose, Feb. 10) and Real Monarchs SLC (Location TBD, March 7). 

Reno 1868 FC will open up the regular season at Greater Nevada Field on March 17 against Swope Park Rangers. Ticket on-sale dates will be announced with the release of the 2018 regular season schedule.
