RENO, Nev. — Reno 1868 FC unveiled its new road kit for the 2018 season on Tuesday which payed homage to the local landscape.

Reno released the white and blue Adidas kits in preparation for the 2018 season, which begins March 3 at home against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC (4 p.m. kickoff).

The adizero kit features a picturesque mountain landscape, just like the Sierra Nevada mountain range that cradles Reno.

The airy, design features three cobalt blue bars that run along the shoulders, arms and down the sides of the jersey.

A reflective blue 1868 FC patch sits above the club’s official kit sponsor, Spine Nevada, in a design GM Andy Smith said he hoped fans would enjoy.

“When we were looking at options for this year’s away kit, we really wanted to encompass the City of Reno and Northern Nevada into the look,” Smith said. “Thanks to the options presented to us the past offseason, the kit we launched Tuesday checked all the boxes.

“It’s beautiful in design and comfort and our players already love it.”

The new kit is available for purchase at the Reno 1868 FC team shop at Greater Nevada Field for season members starting Tuesday.

On Saturday, the kit will go on sale to the general public both in the team shop and online at shop.reno1868fc.com.
