RENO, Nev. — Fifteen minutes into the Donner Pass Derby against Sacramento Republic FC, things were looking bleak for Reno 1868 FC.

Down 2-0 after 12 minutes, Reno was facing adversity on the road at Papa Murphy's Stadium. Reno went into the half down, but not out.

Head coach Ian Russell made two crucial halftime adjustments inserting forwards Brian Brown and Mo Thiaw and the two could not have made more of an impact.

But it was defender Paul Marie who took center-stage first in the 57th minute. Marie found room towards the middle of the pitch and struck a goal past Sacramento keeper Josh Cohen to make it 2-1.

Two minutes later, Brown fired a powerful shot to the left of Cohen to tie it up at 2-2.

Three minutes later, Thiaw would cap-off the amazing comeback to make it 3-2 and help Reno walk out of Sacramento with a crucial road win.

The three goals in five minutes were the fastest string of goals in Reno 1868 FC history and the game was arguably the best comeback in the two years of existence.
