Mfeka, 25, is a returning midfielder for Reno 1868 FC who helped score four goals in the 2018 season. The South African native added three assists while boasting an 85 percent pass success rate in his 24 starts. The midfielder was selected by the San Jose Earthquakes on April 6 with the 28th overall pick in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft. Mfeka was a four-year starter at the University of South Florida, totaling 16 goals and 18 assists over 72 career collegiate games. He was named First Team All-American Athletic Conference from 2014-2016 and NSCAA Second Team All-East Region in 2016.

Growing up, he played for Javanon FC. Mfeka has also spent time with Reading United of the USL League Two division.
