Gleadle was with the club last season, but did not appear in any USL match. That changed in 2019. Gleadle appeared in 27 matches, including 16 starts to tally 1,634 minutes played.
Gleadle’s best moment of the year came in early July, when the native of University of New Mexico product scored twice and added an assist in a 4-0 win over Rio Grande Valley FC. Gleadle was the first Reno player to score multiple goals and earn an assist in 2019.
In 2018, Gleadle recorded two non-USL appearances in the 2018 season. Before signing with Reno 1868 FC, Gleadle spent time with USL League 2 (formerly USL PDL) club Albuquerque Sol FC after graduating from the University of New Mexico where he was four- year starter.
Growing up, Gleadle played for Scottsdale Blackhawks and Real Salt Lake U18’s.
During his free time he enjoys watching Harry Potter movies and eating anything that isn’t spicy. If he weren’t playing soccer he would like to work as a real estate agent or be a financial advisor for professional athletes. His number one travel destination is England. Sam supports the Athlete Ally organization.
